Isabel at Paolo, Hiwalay sa Mayo

MARIA Olivia Day-tia at 22 graduated from the University of San Jose Recoletos in Cebu City with a degree of Information Technology.

But before she settled down to work in Manila, her presence made a big splash two years ago in the Max’s Chicken commercial with Piolo Pascual, She’s Isabel in that commercial, her first. Soon she was noticed. ABS-CBN got her, playing small roles in some series.

GMA noticed her and got her for Richard Gutierrez’s Sugo and Liv (her nickname back home in Cebu) got her brand-new screen name, Isabel Oli – obviously from that commercial and her first name.

Now, Isabel Oli is a commercial model and actress. She did a movie, Moments of Love for GMA Films. From Sugo, she was in I Love New York, Love to Love and Atlantika.

Since she has no regular commitment with GMA so far, Isabel does a lot of traveling, especially this summer, she’s slated to go to Singapore and Japan this summer.

As commercial model, from Max’s commercial, she did Myra-E, Fuji, Cinderella, Flywear shades and Secret Garden Resort.

Isabel considers herself lucky since the Max’s contract is on its second year for their standees. And as the image model of Flywear, she has renewed her contract with Mia S. Tan and partners. As Mia points out, Isabel is an ideal endorser – a frequent traveler and oozes with style and sophistication wherever she goes.

This early April she will be in Japan for some pictorial sessions for print ads of an international establishment.

In May, she is set to have her vacation in Singapore. Her parents are there with her two sisters who work and have settled there. She’s the youngest among five children, the bonding continues as she makes regular visits to Singapore and Cebu where her other sister still is. Her two older brothers are here in Manila.

She laughs when she is asked about her love life. Surely to say that’s it is okey. She and Paolo Contis have been on for a year and two months.

"Okey si Pao sa family ko," she confides. "Lab talaga ng mommy ko siya."

But Paolo won’t be with him on her vacation to Singapore which they once did since this time since he would be on a church mission.
