IN OCTOBER, GMA 7 brings televiewers to the very heart of the ocean—to Atlantika, a domed underwater domain inhabited by creatures that look very much like their human counterparts, except for their webbed hands and outfits.

The cast is comprised of young stars Dingdong Dantes, Iza Calzado, Paolo Contis, Katrina Halili, Isabel Oli, and Valerie Concepcion. Add to this a powerhouse support cast—Celia Rodriguez, Jean Garcia, Cherry Pie Picache, Gardo Versoza, Ariel Rivera, Pen Medina, Ronnie Lazaro and Rudy Fernandez in a “very special” role.

Noel Flores and Bill Gustilo designed these elaborate outfits for “Atlantika,” GMA 7’s “grandest and biggest production to date,” according to network execs.

DINGDONG Dantes is Aquano, a Senturyon with royal blood.

He wears a black, gray, pearl white armor with a touch of orange, inspired by a great white shark.

JEAN Garcia is Celebes, Queen of Atlantika. Her costume has a very feminine silhouette. The skin-tight inner garment is layered with a soft luminous fabric. Stringed pearls embellish the neck and shoulder line, framing her face.

PAOLO Contis is Piranus, Aquano’s nemesis. His armor, while similar in design to Aquano’s, borrows from the tiger shark and combined with red, giving him a menacing look. His royal costume, also similar to Aquano’s in form, has a sharper fin detail.

RUDY Fernandez is Camaro, one of the kingdom’s best Senturyons, who trains Aquano. He wears a tropical fish-colored robe that covers a seal-skin undergarment.

KATRINA Halili is Helena, who has the power and strength of an underwater volcano. She wears a princess costume, like that of the queen’s, which enhances the female form—skin-tight inner garment with the colors of a tropical fish, thin layered fabric. And, of course, pearls and corals.

ISABEL Oli is Alona, who possesses the mysterious power of the moon. She wears a form-fitting princess costume.

IZA Calzado is Cielo, who can control the storm and lightning. Another stunning character in a princess costume.
